Sainsbury's is the UK's third largest supermarket, behind Tesco and Asda
Sainsbury's has reported a rise in UK sales over the last three months.
Like-for-like sales UK sales, excluding fuel, rose by 0.7% in the 12 weeks up to 8 June 2013. It's market share is up by 0.2% to 16.8% in the same period.
The company says that sales from its convenience stores have increased by a fifth compared to last year.
Chief executive Justin King called the figures "A solid performance in what continues to be a tough consumer environment."
